• The concept of microneedling is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself. Immediately after an injury to the skin, the body begins the healing process, triggering new collagen synthesis. The microneedling device is a Class 2 Medical Grade Device that intentionally creates very superficial “micro-injuries” to the outermost layer of the skin to induce the healing process that includes new collagen production.

• Microneedling has been shown to reduce the visibility of acne scars, fine lines, and wrinkles; diminish hyper-pigmentation; and improve skin tone and texture, resulting in smoother, firmer, younger looking skin.

• 24 hour down time recovery period, you cannot wash your face and cannot apply makeup for 24 hours. If you will be outside, we do highly recommend SPF. Otherwise, skin should stay clear for at least 24 hours.

• It is suggested to start on a vitamin C serum daily, 2 weeks prior to your microneedling treatment to help with collagen production and recovery.

• Avoid anti-coagulants & blood thinning medications & supplements 4 days prior to treatment. If you are on prescription medication you must consult your doctor before the treatment and before discontinuing any medication.

• Must not have new permanent makeup or injections on or near the treatment area. Allow at least 2 weeks for any permanent makeup or injectables to heal prior to treatment.

• Use SPF 30 or higher daily. Skin with a sun burn cannot be treated

• Use of tanning beds as well as self tanner products must be avoided 24 hours before and after treatment, preferably 1 week

• Avoid any irritating skincare ingredient such as hydroquinone, Retin A, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, gylcolic or salicylic acids for at least 3 days prior to treatment.

• Do not tweeze or wax the area one week prior to treatment.

• If you have any open cuts or cold sore breakouts we cannot do treatment until they are healed - check FAQ about cold sores for some tips.

• Micro-needling can be done once a month. The skin cells need time to recover & rejuvenate and so after each treatment, you may see a glow with softer skin but you will see the real results of each treatment, after a month.

• During your consultation, a treatment plan will be discussed to include your personal treatment goals and suggested frequency of appointments.

• Our biggest suggestion is to purchase a package of 3+ sessions to see best results. With purchasing a package, you also receive a discount!

• If you’d like to do more than once a month, you can add-on nano-needling. Ask about this add-on during any of your treatments for more information!

Yes! We advise waiting at least 2 weeks in between! Often we have found a pattern in microneedling helping botox last longer with our micro/botox patients

We take pride in helping you feel as comfortable as possible. Before the treatment, we apply a topical anesthetic to the area we will be treating. You will not experience any pain during the treatment.

After the treatment, you may experience redness but this will dissipate within 24-48 hours depending on your skin sensitivity. During your appointment, you will receive information on how to care for your skin post-microneedling session.

• We suggest prepping prior to a micro-needling appointment because Micro-needling brings a lot of blood to the face, it induces a strong immune reaction as well, which can flare up a cold sore.

• Cold sores are a struggle to deal with. We cannot treat if you have an active cold sore, however, to help avoid them here are some tips: use L-lysine about a week before in preparation and a week after, if you have cold sore medication, we suggest starting it a couple of days before the appointment.
